Date Selection From A Kurma Tree

Recently I received a mail from the academy in town soliciting the sales of books and live courses in date selections and BaZi alike and thus make me ponder that the ill effect of the mud cow on the impeding decline of sales for the academies has asked for some unconventional moves such as special offers in bundles, where the muse-tery series had been reengineered 3 in one, just liked our instant coffee mix in sachet of coffee, milk and sugar in a single mixture in an all down low price. Very ingenious marketing moves. This keep I am pondering what other underdogs of the similar academies in town would draw upon beside price war, academy hopping and home tuition at RM200-RM250 per hour. I am greatly fascinated by these marketing strategies and there are a lot of things to learn from these trying moves for these trying times. I am one still learning from this marketing Guru in disguise of FengShui masters.

One very fascinating sales pitch I notice beside the fighting SanSha Bullshit, is the matching of the selected date to grow into one’s day master. For the uninitiated, every soul on earth is born with a unique 8 character chart called BaZi, consisting of 4 pillars of year, month, day and hour of birth. Each pillar consists of a pair of Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches, thus making a 8 characters chart in totality. These are coded jargon that only a so called master can decipher.

In the day pillar, what appeared to be the heavenly stem is called the day master referring to the self or owner of the BaZi chart. This marker represents him/her.

Similar understanding, if very soul is born has its unique BaZi chart, meaning every day itself has its own BaZi chart. So, one has to choose a day with a day element that is producing his or her own self element, this is considered a good day. This is a novelty. What these people fail to explain is that it will only be useful for a person with a weak self element. I can understand where the omission comes from, as the academy could not even distinguish a weak self element from a strong one and ultimately considered the strength as not important at all. Viva! Need to know more please buy the following books, another sales pitch.

Next time, when you receive a mail with such novelty solution, please reconsider. It might just bring you another wind of fortune in these trying times… Just hope.

Dear Malaysian Politician...

Something that I read full page advert in the local newspaper that I cannot refuse to let it go but to repeat what has been solemnly appealed to all Malaysian politicians. I take this gesture as my support to my fellow countryman, Anas Zubedy, for his nerve to speak aloud of his sentiments and hopefully be heard by the Malaysian politicians and aliked. Hopefully, this time around, I also hoped that, the rulers may not take a seat back to watch such a dramatic acts of our political tug o war, to have finally addressed that the royalties are above politics. For whoever wins, the rakyat suffer.

The advert quote:

Dear Malaysian Politicians...

Please stop the power chase, call for a truce and focus on the economy.I do not claim to speak on behalf of all Malaysians, but I have strong convictions that many share my sentiments. Our concern today is not who rules the country or heads the state governments but the looming bad economy.Whether Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat leads, it is meaningless if Malaysians have no job to go to, no money to pay rent and no means to put food on the table.

I am a business owner, like other business owners and managers of corporations I have a responsibility to ensure people under my care and payroll continue to have jobs and a decent income to take home. We work hard and willing to go the extra mile to make sure our nation not only survive this crisis but come out stronger and wiser. We need your help.

Let me explain. I am in the business of Training, Development and Consultancy and have 20 people in my team.Saedah is 42. She keeps the office clean and helps organise the training rooms. She has four children and her husband is unemployed. She was first hired on a part time basis, because she is very hard working and has a great attitude, we offered her a full time job to help provide a stable income for her family. Even then, when her third child started school this year, it was a struggle for her to buy new school uniforms and other necessities. Saedah lives on a ‘kais bulan, makan bulan’ basis, so, if she is jobless, her tap runs dry.

Samsuri is 27 years old. He lives with his sister and her family in a low cost government flat in Sunway. He does our despatch, helps with various clerical works and occasionally acts as a driver. During the first week at zubedy, we learned that he not only did not have money to buy new clothes and shoes for work, he had no money for lunch. Like Saedah, if he has no job, his tap runs dry too.

Alicia in Client Servicing turns 26 this year. She lives with her dad who is 71 years old and retired. Her mom passed away when she was little. Alicia is a hard-working team member, has a gentle caring outlook and fun to be with. (We like to poke fun at her as she blushes easily). Last May her dad went through a major operation, thank God he has recovered well. Alicia needs a job, both for herself and her dad.

Sudesh, 38, is one of our facilitators. When his father passed away last year, he moved back and lives with his mother in Seremban. He shuttles between Kuala Lumpur and Seremban daily, leaving home sometimes as early as 4 in the morning and returning late at night. He is no stranger to hard work and sacrifice, he knows what he needs to do to survive and to care for his mother, but he too needs a job.Like fellow Malaysians, every one of us in zubedy needs employment, those that live from hand to mouth like Saedah and Samsuri and others like Alicia and Sudesh with family to care for.

We Malaysians need the Malaysian economy to be strong. We need you, our leaders, to work hard and to work together to make our economy viable.So this is my plea.

Pakatan Rakyat, please stop your attempts to take over the federal government and persuade BN’s lawmakers to join you. Stop all legal proceedings, no more 916 and let go, just let go. The nation can wait till the next general elections if they want change. By doing so, Malaysians will see your party as caring, unselfish and gracious and give you their support in the next elections.

Barisan Nasional, please stop any attempts to take over PR states and win over PR’s lawmakers. You have proven your point with Perak. The nation can wait for the next general elections if they want your party. Focus all your talent, energy and hard work in steering the country out of an economic downturn. By doing so, Malaysians will see your party as caring, unselfish and smart and give you their support in the next elections.BN and PR!

Call for a truce. Get together and compromise. Someone has to give in. Or has hate consumed your heart till it blinds you? You can do it. You have enough intelligent people between you. I am sure you can find solutions. Take the nation to heart. That is why you are in politics in the first place.Focus on the people.Focus on the economy.

Another Moosti Spot?

Back in 2007, a company of consultants were involved in scouting out a new piece of hilly area to be developed into an exclusive residential enclave in Gombak, Selayang. The team, of which I am involved as the master-planner cum Metaphysics ventured into an unchartered territory of secondary jungles. It reminds me of those masters of the old, venture into the deep in search of the dragon spot. Not so much of a helicopter ride though, but the real hiking with tracking stick, boots, towels, hats, insects repellent and GPS.

True enough, we have to deal with the leeches, mud and cripples. However, our search was indeed rewarded by the finding of the moosti spot. Guest, who will be building up the bungalow there? No, it will not be me. In times to come, this area is going to be the next upmarket address to be reckoned with. Till then is for me to know, you to find out.

PostScripts: Complexities & Contradictions

I would have thought that the mud cow was quite difficult to find, seeing that it has dipped itself in the mud. That is why the Qian remain the Qian, the Kun remain the Kun for a hundred years. Impressive Gua of Gu. I remembered seeing such when Li Chun comes, led by the cow would only end up in the ditch, is perfectly what I had predicted. Perhaps there may be truth in forget about Niu Chuan Qian Kun, when there is nothing to Niu in the first place. Excellent!

Similarly interesting I learned is to forget about Stem. Stems are the gifts of Heaven, too high above, unable to reach, warrant a search for the branches, just to see that they too consist of stems! How contradicting! However in such contradictions there are conformation. This is called complexity and contradictions. Similarly, landform stood superior, yet using the Luopan to measure what? Isn't the Luopan is a compressed sets on formulea engraved in its circular disc? Meaningful coincidence.

Excellent!I suppose, if the Luopan is only as usable with its set of 24 mountains, discard away the 8 stems, leaving only the 16 mountains, the gigantic sized type would have been quite a burden for landform. Another form of complexities and contradictions?

Nebulously Confused Qi

The article on ShengQi by the rambling of one instructor of the academy is worth contemplating. Perhaps, the following doodles may spade some light over the nebulously confused understanding of ShengQi.

Tapping into ShengQi and riding ShengQi have a different meaning. One is receiving the external Qi and the other, the internal Qi. That is why they are different. I believed this was not taught in the so called academy. Nebulous is not accurate, confusion yes, nebulously confused is better. The question is why? Simply because one do not understand the meaning of YuanKong.

To bury is to ride ShengQi indeed was the word of the Grandmaster, he never said to bury is to tap ShengQi, why? SanHe practitioner may explain in term of landform regarding the Xue, the spot with the 4 guardians guarding in position. They also explain the way of riding on it but they never write about it. This is the much abused oral secret, so to speak.

In the darkest spot, white is born. How could such not found in the modern environment? If we say such as a departing point to give birth to SanYuan to improve the SanHe principle, then we are absolutely putting ourselves into blunder. SanYuan is simply the mirror image of SanHe. Similarly true was the published transliterated book by a westerner based on the woodblock by a Master practising in the early Emperor QianLong Qing Dynasty period, with messed up interpretation on the principles, currently selling in an exorbitant price.

Such nebulously confused understanding was also found in the eight mansion method, currently understood by the masses. Such a term ShengQi is simply a name not its limitation of use. XuanKong practitioner may use the notion of growth, prosper, weakening and killing in their deductions of palace and star relationship. However, such understanding is merely on the transformation of the 5 elements, and not riding ShengQi. They are chasing after the prosperous stars, activating them and tap into them with a mislead order or RuGong PaiLong. That is why it could not last. Let alone, NiuJuan QianKun.

A Strange JiaZi

It is very strange. January the 8, 2009, I wrote: -
“In every downturn, millionaires are created. These creations are based on a hope. It will not be surprise to see more Chinese Metaphysicist selling such hopes, more classes and courses will be held, more masters will be coming from the mountain of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to the third world to do salvation as the first world is unsalvageable, let alone more PiYao, Fu Dog or QiLin will be offered to ward away the Grand Duke. It is this very strange hope that one finds its market and be the next millionaire…”

Recently, the advertisement for more Chinese metaphysics classes had taken up spaces in the internet, from popular poll to forum and weblog, both from the famous academies to the underdogs. This is a very strange phenomenon in the onset of the ailing economies. I was also surprise that the third world has been eyed as a potentials market from masters of the first world, so willingly are the people of the third world to pay in a first world currency at a first world price for the first world masters to teach the third world people. Reflecting the very alter-ego or the opposite of the personification of Yang JiuPing, (Yang saving the poor). Very convincing indeed and may have been the strange working of the JiaZi.

In addition, I find it strange when I wrote: -

“The Cow comes with the mud. Supposing to be wet, if it does not stick well on the wall, at least it could grow the plant…”

It does not stick well on the wall meaning this coming together does not last. The recent Malaysia political fiasco has witnessed the breaking up of the oppositional front, Pakatan Rakyat, when their members leave the party and lean towards the Ruling Coalition Front, Barisan Rakyat and vice versa. Such phenomenon is called party hopping, liked a frog.

Soon, with the coming of more metaphysics classes in town, instructors of the academies will migrate from one shore to another, very similar to the Malaysian political scenario and these had happened. I will not be surprise to note that if politicians may go “missing”, the instructors will also be going “missing” at some point of time. This is very strange.

It is very strange when some masters are revisiting the syllabus of the basic metaphysic courses, quoting that the information is now easily available in the English language, therefore these fundamental course will need to be re-engineered. Very conclusive indeed that the current fundamentals are lacked in both substances and depth, in self confessing style, in the hope for forgiveness. Very strange.

It is also very strange when the contents of the course now made available in exorbitant price at USD1000, marketed in a third world countries are now made available in English offering at the price of USD100.

What is going on?

The Dao Of YuanKong

YiJing is more likely known to many as the root of SanYuan YuanKong also known in the Cantonese pronunciation of YuenHom, some called XuanKong. When it is called San Yuan Xuan Kong, a shorter acronym could have been YuanKong instead of XuanKong, similarly to the name of ZiPing, could have been meant Mu Zi Ping An, therefore ZiPing becomes a name for an individual or some may said it derives from Zi Sun Ping An, therefore ZiPing becomes a name technique for the posterity of the future generations rather than a name of a single personality. However, what is in the name is not what the truth it holds.

道 可 道 ， 非 常 道 ； 名 可 名 ， 非 常 名 。 無 名 ， 天 地 之 始 ； 有 名 ， 萬 物 之 母 。 故 常 無 欲 ， 以 觀 其 妙 ； 常 有 欲 ， 以 觀 其 徼 。 此 兩 者 同 ， 出 而 異 名 ， 同 謂 之 玄 ， 玄 之 又 玄 ， 眾 妙 之 門 。

The name that can be coded and given is no absolute name.

Heaven and earth sprang from something else: the bright nameless;

The named is but the said mother that rears the ten thousand creatures of heaven and earth, each after its kind.
He that rids himself of base desire can see the secret essences;

He that didn't and reached high being, he can see outcomes.

Still the two are the same; the secret and its manifestations came from the same ground, the same mould, but anyway sound different -

They are given different names where they appear.

They can both be called the cosmic mystery, awesome deep.

Or rather more secret than so-called mystery.
There is the deeper mystery: the gate and doorway all hidden essences issued from: all such subleties.

And the subtle, mysterial opening homewards.

YuanKong is not mysterious of the void. It is simply the gateway of gateways. In essence it is nameless. This had misled many to assume such as void, Kong. Even void has many meanings. When the nameless is name, it is but the said mother that rears the ten thousand things, so be called mysterious Xuan. Such mysterious Xuan is indeed a gateway, Men, of the myriad things, not only human. It is a gateway because, it is such that the myriad things come from and as such the myriad things return to the mother. It is therefore not void, simply nothingness that hold heaven and earth in position, thus the birth of the duality. This is the account of Yuen, affinity, coined Affinity Gateway.

When it is name, it opens to LiangYi, the two slices, then the 4 images, Xiang. The images are the meanings of no word. Thus the 8 trigram is formed. This is Yi, the changes and the knowledge of such is Jing, understanding of changes as appeared in its imagery, Xian, becomes the forerunners of the understanding of YuanKong. Jing may give a different interpretation as classics usually annexed to the written commentary of WenWang and the 10 wings. However it is not in such a case. Not the other way round. Only when YuanKong is open, that the understanding of Yi becomes important to know the name of the myriad things. However, it is not the main door, it is referred to. What a pity.
