On FuYin And FanYin

There are 2 things I found in common as at today. Someone leave a chart of an old lady, seeking me to decipher her fate as at this year. It reflects a FuYin formation. Second, a fellow blogger by the name bazidiary.com has entered a FuYin date as at 14 Dec 2008. Is it supposed to be in a dire sad occurrence to begin with? I hope not. I took a little longer to reflect on both these charts and hope that I do not see the need to cry over the old lady’s fate. As a mark of respect I did away with the hour pillar as I do not know this person. So I will just read as an anonymous person, liked any divinity method. Again, for fictitious and not fact, readers be forewarned.

A strong self making self and resource unfavorable. Technically, she is under the influence of GengXu luck pillar and not JiYou. The self has been countered both in stem and branch indicating a FanYin, possible of confronting a major health issue worsens by harm at both branches inclusive of punishment. On Lanslide Earthquake And Bombshell

In February 18, 2008, I wrote of the followings: -

Then on May 12, 2008, Sichuan Earthquake happened: -

On December 4, 2008, it was reported as the followings: -

“… Dec 4 - 300 people were forced to evacuate two buildings when a landslide caused part of the retaining wall of a car park to collapse in Jalan Semantan, Kuala Lumpur. Nov 30 - Two sisters were buried alive when a landslide hit their bungalow in Ulu Yam Perdana near Kuala Kubu Baru, Selangor. Oct 22 - Tonnes of earth came crashing down a hill onto the grounds of the Taman Terubong Jaya apartments in Butterworth where over 1,000 residents were staying. Oct 19 - Four families evacuated from houses along the banks of Sungai Kayu Ara in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, after landslide there. Oct 17 - Two Indonesians were killed after they were buried alive by tonnes of sand in a landslide in Ganesan Quarry, Hulu Langat near Kajang, Selangor. Oct 15 - A landslide after a downpour at Pinggir Bukit Segar, Cheras, Selangor caused a family to move out as they feared for their safety. Sept 6 - Roads from the George Town to Teluk Bahang and Balik Pulau in Penang were cut off due to landslides and fallen trees. Coincidence?

Similarly, I wrote: -

Then on November 26, 2008, the headlines are found: -

Another coincidence? I hope not.

The Eight Trigram of Capriken

In response to Capriken’s question in one of the forum of Chinese Metaphysics as the followings: -

He said,

“… had a mistake in my assignment; it should be align Ren yao of ZTBG and convert ZTBG Trigram to XTBG Lo Shu to get Yin/Yang Number for Hou Tian Application. Then convert to HTBG Trigram and use XTBG to get Xian Tian Yin/Yang Number.

My guess for East Group and West Group of Ba Zhai has to do with pairing of the Di and Ren yao combination (Si Xiang) and make comparison between both trigrams according to Tian yao. Pure Yin and Pure Yang versus Shao Yin Shao Yang, Pure Yin Pure Yang retains original Yin/Yang. Incidentally, aligning Tian Yao of ZTBG to Yin/Yang categorization becomes Shang Xia Liang Pian (1234/6789) as well as Shang Yuan Shui Fa (East) and Xia Yuan Shui Fa (West). So maybe that is where the East group and West group comes from......

Still yet to find the I-Ching explanation for all this according to Qi and Yin/Yang.......Now just playing around with numbers and trigrams to do reverse engineering......Oh yes, something very interesting too......the ZTBG Luo Shu number assignment for East/West group actually fits in with Gua Yun. Use HTBG Luo Shu assignment for hexagram and able to see the Gua Yun for Fu Wei, Tian Yi, Yan Nian, and Sheng Qi as well as Huo Hai, Jue Ming, Liu Sha, and Wu Gui fitted nicely into East and West Group respectively. Also interesting is that comparing the ZTBG configurations of Qian-Dui, Gen-Kun, Xun-Kan, and Zhen-Li all gives Gua Yun of 6 (Fifth Generation). Returning Dui over Qian to original hexagram gives Kun while returning Gen over Kun gives Qian. Returning Qian over Dui gives Gen while returning Kun over Gen gives Dui. Another coincidence that the original Dui and Gen hexagrams are the trigrams in comparison, and it shows Gen with Kun and Qian and Dui in pairs again...but this time as hexagrams...... (Maybe this has something related to Dian Dian Dao Dao Yun Zhong Xun?)Maybe the combinations of Qian-Dui, Kun-Gen, Zhen-Li, and Xun-Kan has to do with 天地定，山泽通，雷风薄，水火不相射. One inch higher as mountain, one inch lower as water. Maybe that is the reason they have for calling Feng Shui as 风水.It seems like the middle 5 in Hetu functions like an operator in mathematics, 河图圆，圆者气也. Comparing the Gua movements in 1 and 6 returns to 6, 3 and 8 returns 6, 4 and 9 returns 6, 2 and 7 returns 6. The compared movement in all comparisons sum up to become Pure Yang in the Tian Yao. Maybe that is because of 天地定而父母男女，尊卑高下，刚柔动静，在在而分，天地交而生万物，父母交而生子息，父母子息合为八体，是成八卦，父母老而退休，六子各自为父母.

Another part that seems to fit 天地之气，一六与四九可通，二七与三八可通，一六与三八则不可通，二七与四九则亦不可通. Comparing the Combination of Five and Ten, 1 and 4 returns 4, 2 and 3 returns 4, 6 and 9 returns 4, 7 and 8 returns 4. The compared movement in all comparisons sum up to become Pure Yin in the Tian Yao. This one I have no explanation yet.....at best I can find is 山泽通. Maybe Kun over Gen returns Dui? Hence 4?

Even more coincidence that 6 and 4 is Gen and Dui. So the 山泽通 may probably mean the above. Also, in Ba Zhai, Sheng Qi is 4 while Tian Yi is 6. Probably there is some connection due to 艮兑合乾坤.

I responded:

EH BaGua instigate the interrelationship of the opposite components that most of the western scholars of YiJing cannot understand. Heaven and Earth fixed positions right up to Water and Fire does not shoot each other. These are never the dichotomy of the Gua. Instead they are mutually corresponding to each other in an equilibrium manner. LH BaGua instigates dynamics that puzzled most western scholars of YiJing. The sun rises from the East, marked the beginning of life. The Chinese never take Li as the fire, they would prefer to see the Sun instead. Life is where movement is seen taking Zhen, only the living moves. This is never to be read as a static Gua liked the interpretation made by the western school of thought but a continuum, applying the notion of dualism, LiangYi, again not meaning duality of the contrasting entities.

Middle Heaven MH BaGua, is again a coined terminology, some profiteers trying out to market, taking the concept of the ShiPan’s circular and square configuration. Middle being in-between is to be used LoShu YinYang numerology matching EH BaGua for LH BaGua application. Remember, the spirit of Yi Gua is not the way it is understood by the western thought about ZhouYi. Yi comes in Gua, Yao and points take reading as image, spirit and rites. That is where, Qian takes 9, Kun takes 1(combination of 10), Li takes 3, Kan takes 7, (combination of 10) and so forth.

Qian (9), Zhen (8), Kan (7), Gen (6), being the Yang Gua whereas Kun (1), Xun (2), Li (3) and Dui (4) being the Yin Gua, these collectively called the two slices of the TaiJi Tu. The so called pure Yin and pure Yang is only the principle, cannot be applied. This also means to say the Shang Sia Yuan cannot be applied. Where else would one see the validity in LiuFa based on Er Yuan Ba Yun? These Gua must be paired into YinYang coupling to arrive at pseudo CiXiong, called male female. With the combination of 10 as the principle, there arrived Qian (9) with Kun (1), Zhen (8) with Xun (2), as one group biased to the west, called the West Group. Kan (7) with Li (3), Gen (6) with Dui (4), as a group biased to the east, called the East Group. Such permutation of DongSi Gua combination of 10 is called, BaGua Thong Qi. The Gua that is interrelation through the Early Heaven arrangement has a direct flow of Qi, being unobstructed. Therefore, the roots of the East West Gua were perceived. However, based on the principle of EH, these East and West Gua are never to be taken as dichotomy, only if one knew its application.

To complicate matters, NaJia is introduced. When we said BaGua Thong Qi, it also means NaJia Yi Qi, receiving Jia singular Qi. When a Gua receiving stem and branch, it is never about direction. Gua being the 8 directions has no location. When it received the GanZi, it is no longer the direction. The receiving is largely due to the image of the Gua as reflected in the vertical. Therefore it is always the location, BaGua Ding Wei. Being in use, there are 24 locations to be applied for the 8 directions according to the two groups. Although in real application 24 locations are insufficient. This is only the principle reflected from the understanding of the LuoPan ring arrangement which called for another body of knowledge for study. The academy’s LuoPan is seriously lacking in this almost liked the rings were forced fitted with fancy 5 ghost carry treasure rings, LongMen BaJu rings and others so that it is deemed to have been designed by a notable master, so to speak, fetching a ridicules price tag. How shameful.

Be reminded again that LH BaGua instigates dynamics. When the GuaYun moves through the 9 palaces, it must connect to the center 5. Thinking about it does a Gua Yun moves? That is why, in the previous article, it is said that receiving the SanYuan begins with the Three. So the movement is not connected to how auspicious a sector can be but is the sector capable to ride Qi instead, Dong Bu Dong. Now, the entire 8 sectors can be used. The question is do you know how to use it? Therefore, God is not biased. When one moves east, one will reach west and comes back to the point of origin, which is the conceptual 5, YuanKong, some called it as big as the universe or as small as a grain of sand. One decides.

The golden dragon moves or don’t moves depend on the expert to use it, that is the challenge. What is the golden dragon? One may draw to realize that within the LoShu YingYang numbers are the HeTu pairs insert. Take Qian (9) Dui (4) as a pair, Gen (6) Kun (1), Xun (2) Kan (7), and Zhen (8) Li (3) as the others. One is the origin and the other one is the succession moving to the 5. Qian Dui Gen Kun takes one slice whereas Xun Kan Zhen Li takes the others. These two slices indicate the jewel from the fire pit. This termed auspicious and inauspicious, although these notions are entirely erred. It will be tempted to equate such as the secret of Qing Nang Au You, but it is not the Dian Dian Dao theory, unfortunately.

Gen (6) Dui (4) combines Qian (9) Kun (1). The western interpretation of Mountain and Marsh (wetland) is completely wrong. An inch higher is the mountain an inch lower is the river may be a better interpretation for a flatland PinYang Long. Yet the point is, there must be water in the mountain and mountain in the water. Opposite to the notion of the dragon spirit does not descend to water, the dragon spirit does not rise up the mountain, this inform of application with a huge caveat. The LoShu is a representation of the NeiDan Pan. From here, with the understanding of flipping Gua or rather the popular term wandering Gua, one will able to see where the mountain is and where the water is found. From such, determine how the Heaven and Earth fixed their positions.

Again, Qian (9) and Kun (1), in the western interpretation are entirely erred. The way the Chinese understand Qian is the nature of Heaven being the father the source of creation and Kun being the Earth the mother’s womb of nurture and growth. Fixed in positions meaning in place for conception, locate within these is the spot of YuanKong, to ride ShengQi, is to first establish then receive. That is the meaning of Feng and Shui. In conclusion, this is a writing of DaGua at a macro perspective outlining the theoretical and principle approach. It has no boundary of BaZhai, YuanKong, XinFa nor GuFa. Understand this is not important. Knowing how to use and apply is the goal, as reflected in Qing Nan Au You. Just a pity that most syllabuses found in the academy is not even close to this for a hefty sum of course fee. What a shame!

The Political Science of KanYu

When we said, KanYu is the art of the 5 elements, it cautioned the practitioner that it encompasses everything from the cradle to the grave with no reference to the relative code of prescribed morality, thus imposing the notion of non-morality is morality, De in the expense of Dao, which is the way of the ways, in non- prescriptive elevation. This implied the necessities to be adopted in the sphere of the human realm, where the gift of the 3 Yuan, affinity as the back bone of all political sciences from the day one is born to the day one is 6 feet under. Without the 3 Yuan, all political structure will collapse. Saying thus, water and fire becomes prominent, not wind and water, then again, do not bastardize the burial classic in order to prove this point. To a proficient Chinese literate may not even understand the cryptically coded classics, there is no relevant to such. The Dao of Dao is no Dao. Heaven will make do with these masters if it is their destiny to labor for this art. It is not the other way round as using such an art to labor for the master. What a shame!

Here are my observations. First, the notable lineage of the Northern Chapter turned out to be just another charlatan, the similar term is used to refer to the others in the western hemisphere, of Chinese Metaphysics where the most senior indoor disciples decided to even severed ties with their masters out of reasons of ethics. Are these disciples hanger by or the masters himself was a hanger by to the grandmaster, only one can speculate. So, where are glory and dignity of the linage holder of the Grandmaster, so to claim, as it turn out just to be another play of political science of milking money from the general public? This is what called taking the art to labor for the master. What a shame!

Second, an academy was born out of another academy. Purportedly held on the principle of lineage rock, a term that had been coined to describe the use of lineage as a marketing tool, to the principle of lineage suck, another term of severing ties with their masters, in a way of seeking independence. Again, it begins with three distinctive individuals, one being the Godfather, one being the marketer and the other the prodigy. The inception was noble however the execution wasn’t, again plagued by the political science of seeing thus as a lucrative industry given the ambiance of a religiously unquestioned faithful general public, resulting in taking the art to labor for the master. What a shame!

Third, the expansion of this academy, spearheaded by the same model. A good partnership of the Yin and Yang, one being the noble as the other being the ugly. The noble is always perfect in speech, thought and appearance. So even the syllabus are so perfect that no question should be asked and the answer is always in the higher level. The ugly will execute the intention of the noble without compassion or mercy ranging from extermination of their staff to their pool of instructors that only has room for the Yes man to linger on and on. A true manifestation of hanger by in the arts of political sciences. With the exception of one individual who later take on the role of a marketer for another academy. As a weakening demand at home, again the art is made to labor for the master from the misery series to the whatsoever for life series now showing in the western hemisphere. What a shame!

Fourth, the art of placement has been bombarded as Mc FengShui, taking the notion of fast food remedy, by none other than the once team three academy. Here the art has been used to labor for the master by ways of franchising one after another. When the period 8 comes in, the outlets begin to close down one after another, could have been the curse of alarming the general public of the similar Y2K effect of the period 8. Because the Fengshui for the Planet of McFS is in the dire state of bleeding profusely, the blame was put on to the pedestal of religion. Claiming that the Fengshui of the house of worship is the source of the misfortune, starting off in the altar of the holy man. From the art, now religion is made to labor for the master. What a shame!

Again the story can go on and on. This is the political science of FengShui in its most naïve form of arts of war. Even within the same group, of which I later found out, the incident of my ban from the group was orchestrated by the hanger by who had indeed used his master’s name to profiteer another friend of his, in the same group, with a huge consultation fee charged upon saying that only he has been taught the secret formulae that the master will not teach to the others within the same group and later just to found that the way reading of the sitting that was taken is indeed inaccurate. Does one call this taking the art to labor for the master wannabe? What a shame!

The way of Yi is indeed mysterious. It is to a certain degree, karmic bond. If the practice comes from the pure heart, the result will be just equally pure. Truth can never be concealed in such a manner; similarly, lies and accusation are not made in such a fashion. The Chinese proverb says, paper can never wrap around fire. This is what it meant and this is just the political science of KanYu.

I bid forgiveness from my readers, masters and spiritual masters if my observations were critical and I alone shall bear the karmic consequences. Readers are strongly advice to take this as a fictitious lyrical essays that does not reflect anyone dead or alive as the case may be, in any way coincidental.

Complete Course of Shanghai Flying Star

I came to know a gentleman from the Shanghai School of Flying Star. Looking at the course fee of RM 8,000.00 for the piece of information collected from the various sources of Shen methodology with a twist of different stroke, I might as well load it up for others to contemplate. Here is the lesson on Flying Star, the skim version (for the initiated only).

Liked any other course, the fundamentals are the same such as the 8 Gua, 60 JiaZi, 24 mountains and so on. Any deviation on this is not authentic KanYu. However the interpretations are different. Liked Shen’s Flying Star methodology, facing and sitting with the period star are all the similar. However, the meaning and interpretation of sitting and facing is different. Shen uses the facing and sitting of the property whereas, the ShangHai school uses the facing and sitting of every individual room, based on the flight path established by the main Qi mouth of the entire property. This is the twist. However, the XuanKong stars are never to be assigned in such a manner.

Well, to make it worthwhile, it was also loaded with the flying star structure of the 4 basics and the others so called special structures and be applied with the interpretation of the twisted method. How creative. When it comes to application the sitting forms the lower hexagram matching the facing, forming the upper hexagram, and then the student must remember the 81 combinations to portend its predictability. How torturing indeed. The combination is never to be read in such a manner.

Next, the flying star chart of the room can be override by the establishment of the sitting and facing of the respective bed, stove, door and road, mountain, water. These are called the 6 necessities. So within a smaller TaiJi, one can use another chart to work things out. For the amount that has been paid, at least a trip or two for practical is reasonably worthwhile. However, there is no remedy offered.

In summary, whichever technique be it Shen’s or Shanghai’s, the fundamental of the XuanKong 9 palaces methodology are not meant to be applied in such manner. At best, it is good only for divination, with the caveat that it is supported by the right formation. So if that is the final calling, I would say the other offers are much better. Would you think so?

Confession of an Instructor Part Three

In level 3 and a half: -

The opening lessons are all recognizing of landforms and its terminology of which is obvious and are largely made available in Chinese book on the same topic. Walking the dragon via the projectors with half cooked imagery, the wises choice besides FengShui entourage.

The main dish of the days is the water method in SanHe. Now, students must buy the SanHe LuoPan. What is to be used of the SanYuan LuoPan, nobody knows. The most impressive of all is the SanHe 4 major water exits. There are basically 4 structures, of which water must not be outgoing from these directions and water must best come in from these directions. It is therefore paramount important to establish the following auspicious facing to tap into the water mouth which is equivalent to the road junctions. Facing is based on the gate, so tilting of gates is the norm of SanHe FengShui, just to receive water. Use this method together with the 72 dragon for measuring the quality of the Gaps, based on the HETU luck cycle with the selections only of the Bing, Ding, Geng and Xin stems for the rest is emptiness called turtle shell and squeezing emptiness, based on WenWang NaJia postulation. Interesting hypothesis indeed. These are all fallacies.

The sub-dishes are nothing but the introduction of mountain method notably of LaiGong’s human plate, measuring and divination of the embrace, determine the quality of the veins and spots using the 60 dragons, taught in half heartedly without dwelling in the basics of how would such 60 dragons be established from the outer to the inner rings of the LuoPan. Confession of an Instructor Part Two

In Level 2: -

The lesson starts with the so-called 8 Killing forces at its most blatant serving, almost devoid of the fact that this is indeed a SanHe method best used with a SanYuan LuoPan, how insightful? It starts with the deliberation of incoming dragon from Kan cannot meet door facing at Chen, otherwise the occupants of the property will be dead. How convenience. Next, the applied version of a house sitting in Chen cannot see broken mountain in Kan. Same disaster will befall to the occupant of the property. How convincing. Nothing mentioned about the source of this method, keeping everyone in the dark. Next, in the higher level, it was revealed that it has a later and early heaven application. This is very refreshing for a SanHe method interpreted in a SanYuan ways, a very interesting point of departure.

Next, the 8 Roads of Destruction shared the same blatant serving, using the SanYuan LuoPan, very insightful. No discussion on the nature of this method as a derivative from more reliable sources. In the higher levels, when the assistant star water method was taught, students are more confused as in one method, water exit were auspicious and the others were not. So, which is right and which is wrong? Such inconsistency is obvious for the rest of the lessons, available or noticeable only by the initiated. By the time, one knew of the facts, it would be too late. Again, the graphical representations are not reflective of the way it is applied in real life. How could the student master the art?

Next, the peach blossom water, measuring incoming with the SanYuan LuoPan again. 3 Harmony roads indicating SanHe as the followings, if there is a mountain in Shen, house sitting in Zi and water exiting in Chen, then this will form the water frames of Shen Zi Chen, conforming to the SanHe principle, obviously a method to make millionaires. Same were to be applied indoor with tables, chairs and book selves. Don’t forget the aquarium! This is SanHe methodology using the SanYuan LuoPan.

Next, the TaiYang Dau Shan date selection for the mortification of SanSha, TaiSui and SuiPo. The assumption were based on when the sun arrive at the mountain, all the evils will be pacify. Question, what has SanSha, TaiSui and SuiPo being the stars of ShenSha method has to do with this method? Are these stars evil by its own nature? Is TaiYang Dau Shan a method for date selection? Think again?

Next, the 5 Ghost carry tidbits, using the SanYuan LuoPan. This is a derivation method, only being informed to the students when they had reached level 5, as being part of the FuXing XuiFa. Complicating it with NaJia, the application was served raw in piecemeal beyond recognition, implying the application for the external. None has any clue pertaining to its application in reality.

Next, a revisit of Shen’s Flying Star and more 8 mansions screwed up theories before calling it up for the day. No question shall be entertained as more revelation will come in the higher level and kindly register with the marketer just outside of the lecture room for early bird discount. That was the parting message. Formally concluded means, the informal business of ConSulting for the instructor begins. How convenience. After graduating, students are able to call themselves as advance practitioner. Very wise indeed.

Again my closing remarks, may the ex-students of the academy have mercy and compassion towards whatsoever misdeed that had been done by the academy or their instructors, consciously or unconsciously, as these are the means of the Dhamma.
