FengShui has nothing to do with the art of placement be it symbolically or otherwise. The matter that is closest to such as in accordance to the Classics are building mountain and pagodas. It just to tell you miniaturized pagoda, Qilin, FuDog, PiYao, a pair of mandarin ducks and the such are just home decor or otherwise "wishful" thinking. There is also NO such a thing as secret formula of the art of placement. Ancient's emperors built pagodas and mountains to manipulate environmental Qi and what would a pair of little mandarin ducks draw, spice?
Again, if ever using symbolism with the trinity usage of door, bed and stove for internal FengShui warrant effectiveness, better think twice again! Why of all built structures, the door, bed and the stove only? There are more things that a competent practitioner could do. If one understood the importance of balancing YinYang, everything will fall in place, just liked what the classics said, "Not knowing the approaching road, the 8 trigrams are all empty".
